Initially, Arkensight focused on developing a software platform that uses artificial intelligence to unify and process various types of data collected by drones.
“We apply the latest concepts in AI to analyze and understand data. We’ve been in the drone industry for years, so we know its challenges inside and out,” said Arkensight co-founder and CEO Domagoj Ćorić in an earlier interview. “On the other hand, our team includes AI experts with experience at leading global tech companies.”
But what began with drones is now expanding into something much larger.
“We first started building our own drones. Then we noticed that the real issue we can solve is not the hardware, but understanding the data collected by it, and with it, maximizing hardware efficiency,” Ćorić explains.
This led the team to develop a prototype that can analyze drone footage using natural language processing, which they beta tested with around 150 users worldwide.
That experience uncovered a much broader opportunity: the ubiquity of visual data. “Visual data is everywhere – from drones, satellites, and vehicle sensors to ground cameras. But the insights are siloed, under-analyzed, and often wasted,” says Ćorić.
This realization is fueling Arkensight’s new direction: a hive-mind AI platform that fuses distributed visual streams into actionable intelligence. The platform is designed for organizations that build and maintain the infrastructure the world depends on—roads, railways, ports, and cities.
The pre-seed investment will be used to transform Arkensight’s original concept into a sustainable business model through market research, prototyping, and early product validation with potential customers.
